Choreography
5, 6, 7, 8, Pivot, Pas de Bourreé and Lay out! Or in my terms (Rossisms) PUNCH! AH AH AH! and WHACK IT! Whether its basic jazz, tap, high
energetic hip hop or Cheerleading I love Style and Energy. I love to dance and
choreograph to the different styles and variations of music. I absolutely enjoy
teaching and choreographing all ages of students. I also love to teach and watch
students and performers come alive while expressing themselves, and when they
feel what you feel - that is absolutely cosmic! If your organization or group
loves to perform, work hard and have more fun, then I am your man. My methods
of teaching choreography is simple, hard work and fun. I love capturing the spirit
of the performer. Think Positive, Practice, and Work Hard! The more you relax
the more you let go. The more you let go the more you express yourself, the more
you express yourself, the more you feel it, the more you feel it, the more you
project, the more you project, the more you become you with attitude and bring
out the dancer in you and that leads to energy and the performance overall is
electrifying!
Singing
The fundamentals of singing are very important for singers just
starting to learn as well as professionals. Being a professional entertainer
myself I have learned and experienced great knowledge of the voice, which has
helped me throughout my career. I enjoy sharing my experiences and knowledge
with students and performers. I love to teach Technique, Style and Vocal health
as these can enhance voice quality, your performance and goals. Let's discuss
what your Goals and Dreams are and what you would like to accomplish. Realizing
your vocal potential add Breathing, Vocal quality, Energy and Articulation and
overall Technique. Challenge yourself...be a Trooper
and have Fun. Be the performer that you want to be and do it for the shear enjoyment
of it!
Stage Etiquette
We watch our favorite artists and past legends grace
the stage with great ease and comfort...and they make it look so effortless.
Take Sinatra as he hold his microphone with both hands and croons for the whole
world while looking so cool and at ease. Or Natalie Cole as she is able to belt
out a beautiful ballad and then walks across the stage gracefully and sips
hot tea from a cup and speaks eloquently...flawless. I'm here to tell you folks...it
takes work and practice. I have had the opportunity to take some Stage etiquette
workshops over the years and loved it. The workshops really helped my performance
skills and confidence as a entertainer. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience
with students just starting out and professional performers as well. My teachings
are designed to help you sing, perform and speak with zest comfortably and look
great while doing so. The do's and don'ts, Microphone placement, body angles,
ineffective use of the hands are just some of the things that I teach to help
enhance and help you deliver a powerhouse performance.
