Let’s redefine our morning routines.

One of our favorite ways to start our work day is to set aside 10-15 minutes as we settle in to our desks to read a handful of daily newsletters with informative, insightful, and encouraging content.

We've asked our readers {and each other!} what is missing when it comes to conscious content that inspires and informs us in our everyday lives. Not surprisingly, we've found women resonate with bite-sized, actionable content that is consciously aligned and aesthetically beautiful.

Created especially for women, here are our 9 favorite daily (and weekly!) newsletters to read each morning for news, politics and inspiration.

1. The Skimm

A five-minute daily newsletter for women, The Skimm is one of our favorite morning digests for breaking news and to learn about what’s happening in the world. Read by the likes of Oprah, Shonda Rhimes, and Sarah Jessica Parker, The Skimm also includes investment tips, product recommendations, and interesting facts to boost your knowledge. And, for readers who just can’t get enough, (we know we can’t), the Skimm app broadcasts ten-minute audio newsletters—a perfect addition to your morning commute.

2. The New York Times Morning Briefing

Want to wake up with the New York Times anywhere in the world? Subscribe to the Morning Briefing—a daily, real-time newsletter, updated throughout the morning, with happenings and breaking news specific to the reader's geographical location. Apart from helping you keep up with the latest current events, the Morning Briefing is also packed with quality reading lists, quick history lessons, and delicious recipes. Additionally, for readers who can't get enough of the Morning Briefing, we recommend subscribing to In Her Words. Also from the New York Times, it is sent out twice a week and covers topics related to gender and society.

A daily newsletter curated by Kristen Bellstrom and for a ‘broad’ audience (because women’s issues are not just women’s issues), The Broadsheet is for informed women who want to read stories about all the incredible females who are shattering glass ceilings around the globe. We especially love the breadth of content—from research, to opinion pieces, to book and biography recommendations that will keep your reading list full well into the year.
