L. Magpoc
(Spirit Cruises - National Entertainment Coordinator)
It has been my pleasure to have worked with Ross Milam at both a local and national
capacity. We have worked with each other for well over 7 years and throughout
this time he has been an asset to Spirit Cruises. Ross’ leadership and
talent has allowed him to travel fleet-wide to assist the production company,
Heartbeat Productions, with our entertainment rollout. Ross remains professional
at all times and is truly a fine addition to my staff on the Spirit of Norfolk.
As always, I look forward to working with Ross for many years to come.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Ross Milam during my first professional
entertainment job. I have always been a dancer but having Ross as a vocal captain
inspired me to work on my singing ability. With Ross's professional work ethic,
radiating positive attitude and non-stop energy I quickly over came my fear
of singing on stage. His extensive knowledge and expertise of proper vocal
technique, warm-ups and professional tips helped me to enrich my career with
the gift of song. I have worked professionally as a singer/dancer for such
companies as Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Stiletto Entertainment, Holland America
Cruise Lines, Neil Goldberg's Cirque Productions and WRAL-FM, Raleigh, NC.
Ross Milam's instruction has given me more confidence as a performer and has
helped me open many doors in the professional entertainment business.

I have had the privilege of working with Ross Milan for the past several
months. Not only is Ross an amazing performer but he is an outstanding
vocal teacher. He teaches me a number of techniques to improve my voice.
While working with Ross, he continually shows me ways to control my breathing,
extend my range, articulate my words, put energy behind my vocals, and
increase the volume of my singing. With these voice lessons I hope to move
on to bigger and better things. I truly enjoy voice lessons from Ross!

Ross Milam is an amazing choreographer and mentor. His ability to lead and teach
students is truly one of a kind. Ross creates innovative and fun choreography
- one never tires of dancing his pieces. He demands respects, yet never belittles
or criticizes his students. Patience is definitely one of his virtues, and he
is able to work with anyone. Due to the fact that he has both dance and vocal
training, his choreography for show choirs makes combining the two easy and enjoyable.
While under Ross's direction at Menchville High School, I saw an enormous improvement
in our show choir. By believing in us, he gave us the strength and ability to
believe in ourselves. He brought energy and enthusiasm with him every time he
taught, and created a special relationship with each and every student.
Working with Ross was one of the best experiences of my life. He
helped me to become the dancer I am today - he helped me build the
confidence and energy needed as a dancer. And even though I may never
work with him again, it would be impossible for me to ever forget
everything he ever taught me. Even now, before I go onstage either
to perform or audition, I hear him say, "Light the fire, Whitney!"

(Professional Entertainer)
Saying that Ross Milam is an extremely talented individual is an understatement.
I have performed in various shows with Ross, and I have performed in shows created
and directed by Ross. I have never worked with anybody more dedicated, motivated,
or creative in all my years of performing. He has been my vocal captain, show
captain, dance partner, director, and friend for many years. My favorite thing
about Ross is that he not only puts an amazing amount of time, effort, and detail
into every dance move, every musical scale, every costume and set piece, he puts
just as much time and effort into every performer he works with. I have always
said, "If the world
was full of more people like Ross, what a wonderful place this would be!".

(Vocal Director - Busch Gardens, Williamsburg)
Ross Milam exemplifies professionalism. I was a cast member of American Jukebox
with Ross at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. As our show and vocal captain I have
never seen a work ethic equal to his. His main goal, EVERY DAY, was to make our
show the very best it could be. He knows how to motivate people correctly, by
using positive reinforcement and creativity. When he was not leading vocal warm
ups, or setting a top-notch performing example for the rest of the cast, he was
developing and producing revue shows of his own for our talent showcase. I would
be proud to be a part of any show that Ross leads, directs, performs or creates.

When I started in the entertainment business it was strictly as a dancer. I was
afraid to sing out in front of people. Then I met Ross Milam! Ross taught how
to bring out what was already inside me. Along with excellent vocal technique
and exercises, Ross's energetic approach to teaching was just what I needed.
I thank God for sending Ross my way and encouraging me to be my best. Currently
, I am In the Broadway hit show Mamma Mia! which is mainly a singer's show.
Truly Ross has a compelling talent to teach and perform. Thanks Ross!!!!

If there is anyone in this entire world I would want to work with more, its Ross
Milam. His work ethic is absolutely astounding. This man will not rest till he
has everything accomplished (I've called him a machine before, its true). His
attention to detail is scary. Its like he should be working for a CSI somewhere.
I have had the honor of creating a production at Busch Gardens with Mr. Milam
and it was a constant flow of creativity. We co-produced, directed, choreographed,
and created a 40 minute Theme Park show we previewed at Busch Gardens called "Broadway
Bound". Not only was he going above and beyond the call of duty to make
this show happen, but he was performing a 40 to 50 hour work week.
Ross Milam's ability to work with people under any form of pressure
is a calming relief in the face of entertainments' capacity for DIVISH
performers. Always a smile, always a great attitude has Mr. Ross Milam
and easily one of the funnest (yes I said funnest) persons I've had
the pleasure to work with. There are some people you can't wait to
work with again and I hope and pray I get that chance with Ross.
Currently I am performing at Beef and Boards Equity Dinner Theatre in
Indianapolis, IN in the musical "Phantom". I have performed
in a couple National Tours (Grease being one of them) and this summer
I will be a Flight Choreographer/Video Editor for ZFX, the second largest
Stage Flight Company in the world, zfxflying.com.
